Frank Bunch, M.D., will continue as chairman of the Horizons International Peripheral Group (HIPG). The announcement was made during the HIPG Membership Meeting held on May 31 at NCVH 2016. His second term will begin July 1, 2016. HIPG is a membership based organization comprised of the leading innovators, educators and advocates on the subjects of peripheral artery disease (PAD) and peripheral vascular disease (PVD). HIPG will raise the bar for:
• PAD and PVD awareness in communities
• Innovation and education within the medical industry
• Lobbying government leaders and healthcare providers for proper recognition and reimbursements
HIPG encourages the team approach to limb preservation and the use of interventional and surgical technologies to prevent amputation. Striving to reach our goals will increase the quality of life and improve outcomes for the patients and their families in which we are privileged to serve. HIPG is a leader in providing information to the medical community and the public about peripheral interventions and amputation prevention.
HIPG members have access to clinical trials and research, speaking engagements, committee assignments and conference management services with more opportunities planned as the organization continues to develop. HIPG members may have an opportunity to serve on an advisory panel of HIPG members to evaluate medical conference agendas, research trials, regional conferences, and related work in accordance with the policies and procedures established by HIPG.
HIPG is pleased to announce the launch of Global Vascular Digest, a new publication focused on the diagnosis, treatment, administration, and management of care for the patient with endovascular disease. The audience for this journal is anyone associated with the clinical, medical, administrative, and business aspects for the delivery of treatment and care of the patient with endovascular disease.
