Welcome to HIPG

The Horizons International Peripheral Group (HIPG) is a membership based organization comprised of the leading innovators, educators and advocates on the subjects of Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) and Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD).

With a mission and goals to specifically advance the medical industry in our area of expertise, HIPG will raise the bar for:

  • PAD and PVD awareness in communities
  • Innovation and education within the medical industry
  • Lobbying government leaders and healthcare providers for proper recognition and reimbursements

HIPG encourages the team approach to limb preservation and the use of interventional and surgical technologies to prevent amputation. Striving to reach our goals will increase the quality of life and improve outcomes for the patients and their families in which we are privileged to serve.

"Up to 20 million people in the U.S. have PAD with an estimated economic impact of over $200 billion. This is an epidemic that needs to be addressed and HIPG members are at the forefront of changing the way physicians practice medicine and improve the lives of our patients."

Craig M. Walker, MD

HIPG is a leader in providing information to the medical community and the public about PAD.

HIPG is an advocate for patients in the media, insurance companies, and government entities by encouraging the use of interventional technology and limb preservation in place of amputation.

HIPG’s primary educational partner is New Cardiovascular Horizons (NCVH), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational foundation.
